26th Sweet 16 and Hot 30 year olds!

We had 2 separate orders last month. One was from a returning customer, Mdm Ai Lan

who had requested for a sweet 16 cupcakes for her daughter.

The flavor is Oh Cheezereo! and the theme was zebra print with teenage gadgets and stuff.

Another was from a new customer, Ms. Huda. She requested for the same flavor,

Oh Cheezereo! with colors of pink and black, sort of a

Sex and the City-esque theme.

This was what I managed to pull through with..

Hope both of them were happy with the end product. And thank you for the orders. Looking forward for more orders from you ladies :)

25th A Cause for Celebration!

My friend, Warda was recently engaged and hired moi to do a cake and a set of cupcakes for the hantaran. Their theme color was orange as that is Warda's fav color!

The cake flavor is vanilla with chocolate ganache.

The cupcakes were also of the same flavor.

The theme was made based on their career and hobbies.

It turned out quite nice I think. Thanks again for ordering darlings. Maybe I can do the wedding cake soon? Congrats again and thank you :)

23rd Of Engagement Calls & Wedding Bells

Hello again!

I got some requests for engagement cupcakes from few friends.
Although I have not dabble in them, I decided that I should and would love to share with you all the results...

This one above was ordered by my ex-colleague as a present for her friend. The cupcakes were Oh!range :)

These pink cupcakes were for another colleague's engagement as well. Me and a couple of friends gave this as her engagement present. She loves Oh!Cheezereo and the color pink very2 much :)


My first official wedding cupcakes! Hehehehe...



And.. also my first fondant wedding cake !!

22nd Elmo

This order was for my bf's nephew Rayyan who celebrated his 1st birthday last May.

It was a pool party and the theme was ..

Yup, u guessed it! Elmo from Sesame Street. Rayyan just loves 'em. I did in two flavors, Strawberry Shortcake & Oh Cheezereo. Thank you Kak Sha for the order and apologies for the lateness :)

21st Footie Mania

Hey peeps!

First of, wishing all Muslims customers
SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI :)
(hope its not too late?)

Secondly, these are from previous orders that we have received.
All the themes were football, of Man Utd and Arsenal.


The order for Man Utd was Oh Cheezereo.
As you can see, the design is an updated version from a previous order.

As for Arsenal, it was Caramella flavor and for the design, I used piping jelly for the 1.0 version.
I find it quite messy but the colors sure popped!
Plus, added some figurines and also football nets (not seen here) to make it look more fun.

For the 2.0 version, flavor was Oh Cheezereo and I used the usual buttercream icing for the design, although it was neat, the colors were not as vibrant.

But, it all depends on the customer's preference.


The Man Utd badge design have definitely improved from my first one, i think :)
Also, on the right, was my first fondant boots! What do u think?

Hello there Cupgateau-ers!

Yeah I know I haven't been updating the page for like.. AGES, but, that does not mean that we have not been making cupcakes in the meantime. Working in the office by day while baking at night does take its toll sometime. Been wanting to upload recent orders but just didn't have much time to edit the pics.

Will do in a couple of days 'cos this weekend we'll be having triple orders and I can't wait to bake & design it.. And then post it here and show my baking/designing skills heh heh.

17th Butterflies & Ladybugs

We received this order from Ms Ai Lan who wanted cupcakes in celebration of her daughter's birthday. She ordered Oh Cheezereo! with additional design that featured sweet butterflies and ladybugs. We're glad she likes them! Thank you for your order!

Royal icing toppers + silver beads made it super cute :)

16th Flea Market

On Nov 09, we had the chance to participate in KL Family Fair, a flea market style place that sells f&b, homemade trinkets, clothing and etc. We made 4 types of cupcake flavors that we thought could "fly" with the customers.

Bear in mind that the crowd were people visiting from outside town and even tourists, as it was held in a tourism centre's carpark. They even have stage where they held karaoke contest and aerobic dances accompanied by Malaysia's state songs. 1Malaysia as they say :)

So some of them don't fancy sweet stuff or they are not familiar with fancy flavors;
tourists were also a no-go cos cupcakes originally came from their country so they wouldn't wanna eat them here hehehe..

Sale was quite slow but it picked up during lunch hour and till the end of the fair around 4pm.

On top of cupcakes, my sister Lala, manage to make some cake pops, recipe courtesy of Bakerella. But the day was so hot, we were lucky the choc didn't melt all the way through.. ;|

These brownies was also baked by Lala. These babies are THE most yummy and gooey brownies I have ever tasted ! I'm telling the whole truth!

We made quite a sale despite a realllyy slow morning. Well, we're lucky we got to see some dancing action from the stage.. (the Sabahan song was really fun AND funny)

15th Bikini Babe & Critters

We had a back to back order within 2 weeks, in Oct 09.

First order was for Ms Lily,
with a pool party themed, which she decided that bikini clad
bodies would be suited for the event.


The second was for Natalie, 5 yr old who likes flowers & garden critters.

We had some misunderstanding with both of these order,
we're truly sorry & regret the inconvenience caused.
We promise this sort of stuff won't happen again.

Its been awhile since our hiatus back in September. I got a new job and my sister had started college so we did not have time to update the blog.

This project is the brainchild of our collective desire to instill a sense of care, compassion, and leadership into the lives of the children we hope to help.

Above is the Taylor's College CPM project that Nabila,
my sister is currently involved in.
In order to raise funds to help orphans, last week she decided to bake cupcakes to be sold in their bake sale. The cupcakes were selling.. well.. like hotcakes! (no pun intended)

The first leg of the bake sale, we did Oreo Cheesecake,
Strawberry Shortcake & Vanilla Choc Chip


For the second leg, it was Chocolate Oh!range, Chocolate Mint &
Oreo Cheesecake again, cos apparently, its everyone's favorite! :D


And we did another round this week, baking almost 120 pcs of cupcakes.

9th Of Double Birthdays & BEN 10s

It was double duty for these orders! Mama & colleagues ordered 2 sets of cupcakes for Aunty Aya & Aunty Rainah in celebration of their birthdays. Got mixed reviews; some said its nice, some thought it was from CUPCAKE CHIC (really?), some said too sweet, etc. We took in all the comments and will make improvements on our cupcakes. Thank you for your support!!

Aunty Aya's was mixture of flavors and BEN 10 design, which was for her to bring home for the kids!
